Spec

Watch the specs. Not someone else’s numbers.

Four storyboards, labeled spec. One franchise fitness master, one skincare spot, one coffee subscription, and a math-school master for a GTA school with 30+ campuses. The school is unnamed on purpose. No testimonials, no results.

Vaughan, this one’s for you

If you live in Vaughan and you’ve been “starting Monday” for six months…

Spec 01 · beat 1/5
  1. Vaughan, this one’s for you. If you live in Vaughan and you’ve been “starting Monday” for six months…
  2. One class. 45 minutes.. Come to one class. Just one. Coach-led. No guessing.
  3. I came for the free class.. That was a year ago.
  4. Right off the main road.. We’re at the plaza. You already drive past it.
  5. First class free. Book your free class. Link below.

Spec 01 · Franchise

Your first class is on us

A GTA fitness franchise. One master, then a cut per location.

20s master · 15s location cuts

The master opens on that location’s coach saying the city name. It reads like a neighbour, not a chain spot with a city tag slapped on.

A city-name hook stops local scrollers. A coach’s face does the trust work a franchisor brand film cannot. One master, many cuts, so the cost stays per location.

Hook variants · swap the open only

  • Mississauga, quick question — when did you last actually sweat?
  • You don’t need to be in shape to start. That’s literally what we’re for.
  • I opened this location because I couldn’t find a gym that didn’t make me feel stupid.

Delete your 9-step routine

I threw out nine products. My skin got better.

Spec 02 · beat 1/4
  1. Delete your 9-step routine. I threw out nine products. My skin got better.
  2. Morning and night.. This is the only thing I use now.
  3. Two weeks. Calmer skin.. No fragrance. No stinging. Made in Canada.
  4. Shop the one-product routine. If your skin’s fried from trying everything, start here.

Spec 02 · Shopify

The one-product routine

A Canadian Shopify skincare brand. One product, not a 9-step shelf.

15s · Meta, TikTok, Reels

Smaller skincare brands copy the big-player aesthetic and disappear. This spec goes the other way: someone talking to camera, an anti-routine, a single bottle.

The shelf sweep is the pattern interrupt. One product is an easy promise. “Made in Canada” is a real edge in a Canadian feed. Claims stay experiential until a client’s own reviews are swapped in.

Hook variants · swap the open only

  • More products isn’t more care. It’s more irritation.
  • I was spending $180 a month on skincare. Now it’s one bottle.
  • Canadian winter wrecked my skin. This fixed it.

$6.85 × 22 workdays

I did the math on my café habit and felt sick.

Spec 03 · beat 1/4
  1. $6.85 × 22 workdays. I did the math on my café habit and felt sick.
  2. Every two weeks.. Roasted in the city. It shows up before you run out.
  3. Skip the line in the snow.. Honestly? Better than my café.
  4. Start your subscription. First bag’s on the offer. Link’s in bio.

Spec 03 · Shopify

Your café habit, at home

A Canadian Shopify coffee subscription. Receipt math, then the ritual.

15s · Meta, TikTok, Reels

Coffee subscriptions usually sell taste. This spec sells the math first: the café receipt, then the bag on the doorstep.

A concrete money hook beats “premium beans.” The subscription lands inside 15 seconds. A local roast is native to a Canadian feed.

Hook variants · swap the open only

  • This receipt is why I stopped buying coffee out.
  • POV: your coffee shows up before you run out.
  • Toronto, you’re overpaying for coffee. Here’s the fix.
Spec 04

Done in 5 minutes. Again.

She finishes her math homework in five minutes… and then she’s bored.

Spec 04 · beat 1/5
  1. Done in 5 minutes. Again.. She finishes her math homework in five minutes… and then she’s bored.
  2. Fine isn’t the problem.. Her teacher says she’s fine. She’s not being challenged.
  3. Not tutoring.. One weekly class for kids who are already ahead. K to 11.
  4. [Campus] · cross-streets. Every student starts with a complimentary assessment class.
  5. Book the assessment. Complimentary assessment class. Link below.

Spec 04 · Franchise

Bored in math class?

A GTA math school with 30+ campuses. Master, then a cut per campus.

20s master · 15s campus cuts

Most multi-campus education ads are a registration notice with a city tag. This spec opens on a parent’s problem — a kid who finishes the worksheet and slumps — and closes on that campus’s own lead, naming the cross-streets.

Parents scroll past a calendar. They stop for a kid who’s bored. The assessment class answers “is this too advanced?” A local face and a cross-street read like a neighbourhood school. One approved master, then a $150 cut per campus.

Hook variants · swap the open only

  • “Isn’t that too advanced for my kid?” That’s why every student starts with an assessment class.
  • Parents near the campus — is your kid bored in math class?
  • This isn’t tutoring. Tutoring fills gaps. This is for the kid who has none.
